New contractor list announced for 2017

Posted in: by Alex Robinson on 22 December 2016

With the crop senescing earlier than the last couple of years, we're issuing an updated contractor list to growers to prepare for a potentially early harvest.

We had the first frost early this year, on bonfire night, which accelerated the senescing process. Early senescence hasn't happened for last few years, because we didn't have any frosts at all before Christmas.

This year, crops are looking in great condition, and many have flowered, which shows they have had a long growing cycle and indicates a good yield.

To ensure our growers get the most out of their miscanthus crops, we source contractors that are highly experienced and understand the miscanthus harvesting processes intricately. Terravesta works closely with all of them, so please take note of contractors suitable for you and here's to another successful harvest in 2017!

Calling all growers

Miscanthus has a great future in the UK as an energy crop. There is one company which understands and can work with growers, can process the crop to produce sustainable. high quality fuel and energy and can sell those products to end users. Terravesta is that company.
