This weekend marked a month since the Hackthorn Miscanthus was cut and laid in the swath. Despite a relatively long dry spell, there are still some green canes. They are, at last, getting paler and harder to find, so probably another week before the baler comes in, if the weather holds. The value difference between green and gold is too great to risk baling in the moisture, so I have made the decision to wait.
