After 6 weeks in the swath, and, even against my own advice, turned (without disturbing the mulch), the Hackthorn Miscanthus is being baled today, with moisture running at around 10 -15% as measured over a baler mounted constant electronic monitor.
As is always the way with farming, our fortune is at the mercy of the elements. However, because it was cut in good time, there is absolutely no green cane, so hopefully quality will be good, and maintained by storage in empty grain stores.
