We’re pleased to announce that Alex Robinson has moved to the role of operations manager at Terravesta. A long-standing and constant driving force, he’s been with the company since its inception, and in this time has established an extensive knowledge of the miscanthus market.
His strong relationships with growers help him strive to deliver a consistent, reliable service and his commitment to miscanthus market development has been pivotal to the company’s continued growth.
“The new role is a great challenge to get my teeth into,” says Alex. “It starts with designing the systems for sales and marketing, trying to attract new growers to plant miscanthus, through to the operations, which include managing the logistics for over 250 farms across the country, supplying bales into UK power and heat generation and to other markets including bedding.”
Alex is passionate about the contribution he and Terravesta make in developing the scope of miscanthus as an energy crop. “The vision is to grow Terravesta, with 1000’s more hectares of miscanthus planted, and multiple markets for it,” he adds.
