Extra farm walk to meet popular demand

Interest from new growers in miscanthus is growing, and as a result of unprecedented demand, we’ve issued a new date in the calendar for an extra farm walk.

The walk will take place on Tuesday January 26th at Abbey Farm, East Walton, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, PE32 1PP, held by kind permission of Bill and Tom Lewis.

Achieving a tremendous 8.82 tonnes per hectare, Bill and Tom Lewis saw a record breaking harvest this year, the result is the largest documented on a second year crop to date.

We’re excited that we’ll be able to showcase this crop on the walk. We hope you’ll be able to join us to learn more about both the value, and future, of growing miscanthus.

Visitors should aim to arrive for 10.00 am, for coffee, and we’ll kick off with a talk about the opportunities the crop offers, followed by a tour of the farm by the hosts, and back to the farm offices for a spot of lunch, on us, where you can ask questions about how miscanthus might fit into your current set up.

Dates announced for our grower forums

Our grower forums are held exclusively for existing Terravesta growers, and to make life easy, we’ve issued dates all over the UK to ensure that travel isn’t a problem.

The forums are a chance for us to update all growers on our plans for the year ahead, to announce new opportunities, and to inform on new operational processes and changes.

They’re also an ideal platform for knowledge sharing, and for promoting best practice on farm.

We encourage our growers to come along to share their experiences with the crop, and get the latest advice for crop management from the experts. It’s also a great opportunity to network, over a complimentary lunch.

Each grower forum starts at 10.00 am, and we’ll kick off with a presentation at 10.30. This will be followed by a networking lunch at around 13.00.
