Driffield Showground, East Yorkshire

2nd June 2014

Stand no.: A11

With this summer’s agricultural events season now in full swing, next stop for Terravesta will be the Driffield Show on 16th July. Visitors to stand A11 will be able to meet with experts from the team and discuss all aspects of profitable Miscanthus growing – from planting and establishment right through to harvesting and pelleting.

Andy Lee, farms advisory manager, says: “The summer events season is the ideal time for growers to start planning next year’s planting – and with price volatility continuing to plague the arable market, finding viable ways to make more marginal land part of the profitable mix has become more important than ever.

“We are welcoming potential and existing Terravesta growers to come along to stand A11 at Driffield to speak to our team about how developments in planting and establishment are set to make Miscanthus an even more cost-effective and commercially attractive solution for problem land in 2015 and beyond.”

New planting has also been a hot topic at Terravesta’s recent Miscanthus Safari events earlier this month – and will be covered in even greater depth at a special extended series of safaris in Lincoln this autumn, where the team will showcase the next chapter for Miscanthus planting techniques. Attendees will also have the chance to see for themselves the commercial and operational rewards of growing Miscanthus with a guided tour around a working site, as well as an opportunity to meet existing Terravesta growers and hear about their own experiences with the crop.
