Harvest and planting update

We’re living in unprecedented times, and we’d like to thank our contractors and growers for adhering to social distancing guidelines to allow us to continue with Miscanthus harvest and planting.

Miscanthus planting commenced this month and we’re ecstatic that our new team has secured 600ha of new contracts for 2020.

The sales target for 2021 UK Miscanthus establishment is 1800ha and we are already receiving orders!

Miscanthus harvest is still taking place up and down the UK and we are seeing an increase in yield of up to 22% in some cases. While this is subject to fluctuation depending on region, the results we are seeing are impressive.

We’ve also seen great bale weights and moisture content so far, with 620kg average bale weight for hesstons and an average 12.07MC.
