Interest in Miscanthus is booming. We’ve had our best harvest year ever due to improved crop performance, more planting and a fantastic growing season.

With big ambitions for more planting to help decarbonise our economy, we welcome two experts to the Terravesta team.

Philip Greenway is supporting new growers to plant healthy, high-yielding crops, and Shailendra Yadav, is helping to develop the tech side of our business, ensuring we have the most cutting-edge systems to support a rapidly growing industry.

Welcome to the team Philip and Shailendra!

Philip Greenway – Sales Representative

Philip has worked with grasses in one form or another all his career. You could say he started small and worked his way up to a giant – Miscanthus!

His roots were in amenity horticulture, sports turf and landscaping, and having held a previous post as seeds specialist for agri seeds business, Limigrain, Philip has stacks of experience working with end-users. He’s BASIS and FACTS qualified and supports farmers to plant Terravesta AthenaTM crops and get the best from them.

“Miscanthus is a big and positive commitment for any farmer, and I’m interested in finding out whether Miscanthus is the right choice for the farm, and supporting the grower throughout the crops lifetime,” says Philip.

Shailendra Yadav – Full Stack Web Developer

Shailendra is a tech expert who handles our databases, software, and develops the user-side of our platforms, which include the pioneering Harvest Hub and website.

Highly qualified, he has an undergrad and master’s degree in data science, and previous experience working as a full stack developer for an IT consultancy. He’s relishing the chance to create unrivalled tech to support the growing bioeconomy.

“I’m really enjoying working in such an innovative industry and developing new tech to support Miscanthus farming,” he says.

“It’s my job to find tech solutions to match the huge ambitions of the Terravesta team, and I’m loving the freedom I have in streamlining processes and data for the benefit of the industry,” adds Shailendra.
