We’re pleased to be announcing our next three autumn farm walks, and hope you’ll be able to join us to learn more about both the value, and future, of growing miscanthus.
Our first walk will be on October 13th at Hackthorn Farm, The Little Grange, Welton, Lincoln, LN2 3RA, by kind permission of Jim Beeden.
This will be followed on October 29th by a visit to Friars Farm, Morningthorpe, Norfolk, NR15 2QL,
by kind permission of David and Christopher Sargent
Our third walk will be on December 3rd at The Buttery, Kynnersley, Telford, Shropshire, TF6 6EG,
by kind permission of Colin and Sheila Webb.
Please put the dates in your diary now, as we’re expecting a lot of interest in these exciting events.
Each day will follow the same programme:
10:30 Arrival and coffee;
10:45 The market for miscanthus – what it is, what the benefits are, and how Terravesta works to make the most of the crop;
11:30 A farm walk with your host:
This gives you an opportunity to question your host and the team from Terravesta, see the crop, discuss the establishment and growing techniques, and evaluate how miscanthus will fit into your farm rotation;
13:00 Return to the farm offices for a light lunch;
13:30 A summary of the day and a chance to hear more details about the Terravesta offer.
Delegates usually leave around 14:00, but are welcome to remain to ask further questions, or discuss growing options.
Who should join us?
Anyone looking for change. Miscanthus offers a great opportunity for farmers looking for an alternative crop in today’s challenging marketplace. Anyone considering an alternative to their current rotation, or looking to maximise returns from marginal land, should come along and see how working with us will help to improve their returns.
Farmers fighting blackgrass resistance, looking for a guaranteed income, wanting better returns from marginal hectares, or looking for an easy-to-manage crop, should consider this opportunity.
We’ll also welcome land agents, agricultural bank managers, advisor’s and consultants – in fact, anyone who influences the buying decision.
Bookings: Please book by clicking on the orange sash on our home page, e-mail Helen Holman on helenh@terravesta.com or call Alison fisher on 01522 731873 as this helps us with our catering arrangements.
