Ahead of 2021 Miscanthus harvest, Terravesta has launched its innovative ‘Harvest Hub’ streamlined information management system to help growers to upload and access their harvest data at the click of a button.
The Harvest Hub will ensure that sustainability data is captured, and in future this data will assist in grower’s carbon sequestration reporting.
“It’s another step in developing sustainability data, reinforcing the unique potential of Miscanthus,” says Alex Robinson, operations director at Terravesta.
“In response to grower feedback, we have designed a portal to allow each farmer to upload their harvest declarations, update their contact information and access current and historical harvest data, including load figures, bale weights and moisture content,” says Alex.
Alex explains that contractors will also be able to upload key information directly onto the hub. “Our contractors will be uploading harvest information such as bales per field, in real time.
“The Harvest Hub will ultimately assist in agronomy and research and development and will be key to increasing crop performance and forecasting yields,” adds Alex.
The new tool is the result of years of experience managing harvest data, studying grower feedback, carefully considering internal requirements and end-market needs and is the most innovative and bespoke harvest management tool available.
The Harvest Hub is launching this January and Miscanthus growers will receive vital information about how to use it in the next Grower Forum Webinar coming up on 12th February at 14:00.
