Harvest Hub – a quick guide to making the most of your Miscanthus

Terravesta’s ‘Harvest Hub’ is a streamlined information management system to help growers upload and access their harvest data at the click of a button.

The Harvest Hub ensures that sustainability data is captured, and in future, this data will assist in growers’ carbon sequestration reporting, it also helps Terravesta to organise bale collections and deliveries to power stations.

Ahead of harvest ’24, we have a quick Q&A with our senior full stack developer, Munir, about making the most of it…

Describe Harvest Hub in a sentence

This is the portal where you tell us how many bales you have, where they are, and when they are available to be collected.

How can growers make the most of it?

Make sure you have your login details before harvesting. The Harvest Hub has a helpful list of local contractors who are experienced with Miscanthus. Also, make sure you make a note as to which fields produced which bales. This helps us track the yield and profitability of your individual fields over time.

When should growers log their harvest data?

We have set months in which to deliver your Miscanthus harvest to the power stations, it is really important to let us know you have harvested as soon as you can so we can plan and prioritise your haulage and collection. We have a good window to harvest the crop up until the 15th May, if you have any questions or concerns about harvesting your crop please do not hesitate to contact us.

How do growers access it?

Once you have registered your login from our welcome email, all you need to do is go onto the Terravesta website and log in using the icon in the top right corner.

What new features have you added?

We are constantly trying to improve your experience with Harvest Hub and make it more user-friendly. For 2024, we are looking to make the password requirements simpler, and the wording clearer and we are also looking to add more features such as fact sheets and frequently asked questions.

If you have any questions about Harvest Hub, please get in touch with the planting team.
