The Eventing Spring Carnival at Thoresby Park is using Miscanthus horse bedding for its first event of 2020, following a successful transition to the product at Osberton International Horse Trials last October.
Miscanthus specialist firm Terravesta Equine is the official supplier to The Eventing Spring Carnival, which takes place on the 27 – 29 March 2020.
The team at BEDE events, which runs both The Eventing Spring Carnival and Osberton Horse Trials, is committed to using Miscanthus horse bedding at all of its 2020 events.
“We used Terravesta Equine bedding at Osberton International Horse Trials 2019 for the first time. We were thrilled to partner with Terravesta Equine and use their Miscanthus horse bedding. It is 100% biodegradable and with over 400 horses using the bedding across 5 days, it enabled us to dispose of large quantities of used bedding easily,” says Georgie Dickinson at BEDE Events.
“We found Terravesta Equine to be extremely easy to work with and they supplied a great service to the riders and grooms, going above and beyond to accommodate the riders needs and help where they could we could not fault their service and commitment to the event.
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Terravesta Equine into 2020 and into the future,” adds Georgie.
David Pattison from Terravesta Equine is delighted to have such a strong association with BEDE Events. “We’re thrilled that Thoresby is solely using our Miscanthus horse bedding, on account of a successful trial at Osberton last October.
“The Miscanthus horse bedding has really taken off, and we are finding that once people try it, they convert to it.
“Not only is it highly absorbent and dust free, it’s easy to manage and dispose of, and it’s one of the most sustainable natural materials to bed down your horse on,” adds David.
