Terravesta is pleased to announce that its regional Miscanthus forums are back by popular demand. Throughout February, it will be hosting four free half-day events across the country – giving existing and prospective growers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Terravesta’s experts, share any specific queries and benefit from professional advice on all aspects of profitable Miscanthus growing and harvesting.

William Cracroft-Eley, Miscanthus grower and Terravesta chairman says: “The energy crops market has come a long way in recent years, and 2014 is set to be the best yet. We have already seen Miscanthus prices soar to an all-time high of £73+/tonne, and thanks to long-term index-linked contracts, growers can rest assured that returns will only continue to improve. What’s more, demand for UK-grown Miscanthus is still far outstripping supply, so new planting remains a crucial priority. Terravesta is urging anyone with an interest in diversifying their land or increasing their Miscanthus area to come along to a free regional meeting.

“Not only will the team be sharing best-practice advice on how to get optimum yields and best profits from the crop on a day-to-day basis, we will also be exploring the wider factors boosting market growth, including highest-ever returns, increased supplier demand and the volatile weather. For anyone thinking about planting Miscanthus and taking some of the risk out of their arable mix, 2014 is certainly the right time – and these regional forums are the place to find out why.”
