Terravesta Miscanthus Safaris
1st and 3rd July 2014
Hackthorn and Glapthorn
Terravesta is inviting arable farmers and landowners interested in the commercial and operational benefits of growing Miscanthus to two free events next month. The “Miscanthus Safaris” will be held in Hackthorn, Lincoln (1st July) and Glapthorn, Oundle (3rd July), and will provide a valuable opportunity to speak with experts about all aspects of profitable Miscanthus growing and harvesting.
Terravesta chairman William Cracroft-Eley says: “These events are particularly timely, as farmers are currently considering their commercial planting options for the new season. As a farmer myself, I understand the challenges growers face with highly volatile cereals prices, unpredictable market demand or ruinous weather. These safaris will showcase how Miscanthus presents a future-proof investment and a level of security that almost no other crop can.
“Our team of specialists will be on hand to share best-practice advice and techniques to achieve optimum yields and best-ever profits. Visitors will also be able to see how we’ve transformed marginal land into profitable land that now generates a healthy £579 per ha. There’ll even be roast beef and local ale on offer!”
