Terravesta team grows!

With the demand for Miscanthus increasing, our team must grow, and we’re pleased to welcome two new members to Terravesta.

Camilla Helley is our new commercial manager, and Nicola Wozniak joins as our first in-house graphic designer.

Camilla Helley – commercial manager

“The best customer service is what I pride myself on,” says Camilla, who joins Terravesta as commercial manager this September.

“I’m looking after the new domestic fuel range – working hard to develop the brand, and I’m also supporting Jacob Duce, the sales and marketing manager, in Terravesta’s clear mission to secure more Miscanthus planting in the UK.”

Camilla’s direct straight-talking approach is a welcome addition to the Terravesta team, and her experience in sales for a Lincolnshire-based pet food supplier will stand her in good stead as she looks to source new markets for our domestic Miscanthus BBQ briquettes, logs and firelighters.

“I have been in sales and brand management for the past four years, managing wholesale accounts and retail clients. I’m looking forward to the task of increasing markets for the crop and supporting the Terravesta ambition for more Miscanthus planting.”

“What really drew me to the role was the fact that it’s a local firm, and the sustainable and environmental credentials posed by Miscanthus – something that’s close to my heart,” says Camilla.

Lincolnshire born and bred, and a rural lass, Camilla is an active member of a local netball and rounders team, and enjoys clay pigeon shooting, but where she is happiest is walking her kelpie, Fred. “It’s a friendly rural set up at Terravesta, and I’m looking forward to bringing Fred into the office with me!” she adds.

Nicola Wozniak – graphic designer

We’re also pleased to welcome an experienced designer to Terravesta.

Nicola Wozniak brings creativity and practical expertise to the team, and is managing all of our digital and graphic design in-house.

Bringing an in-house designer on board is an exciting move for the company as we develop a new system to help manage our research data and look to refresh the website. Nicola is working with our head of IT development, Michael Squance, to guide the design of both the new site and the ‘user’ side of our new software.

Nicola and Michael will work on the user interface design of a newly developed piece of software, and she will design elements that are intuitive and clear to the varied research partners who work with Terravesta.

“The role is very creative with real scope for out of the box thinking, and it will be a good challenge because it has to be practical as well as imaginative,” says Nicola.

Nicola graduated from Lincoln University with a Batchelor of Arts (BA) degree in product design, and has moved down to Lincoln permanently from West Yorkshire for the post.

Her former position involved building online templates for a personalised stationery and paper goods company, and she welcomes the variability of the new role. “There’s plenty to get my teeth stuck into and I’m excited to be helping the company to expand their brand offering,” she says.
