I’m delighted to announce that Terravesta will be hosting its second annual Miscanthus Workshop on 15th October at Hackthorn Village Hall, Lincolnshire .
Following last year’s popular event, I very much look forward to welcoming you back this year to show you all the exciting developments that have taken place locally over this spring and summer.
For those considering planting for 2014/15, and even beyond, this meeting will also have a strong focus on planning, preparation and crop care; showcasing best practice to ensure maximum crop potential.
The main focus of the day will be a tour around Hackthorn and its neighbouring sites, with presentations and site demonstrations, including:
- District Heating Powered by Miscanthus Pellets
See Hackthorn’s own systems in use and hear about the design and installation process, as well as principles and pitfalls.
- 2013 Planting
Yes, we’ve planted some more crop this year, using our own farm staff. See how we have done, and learn about the cost savings of using this technique.
-
Crop thickening through cultivation
See how our growers have invigorated their thin, early planted crops, judge their success and consider what similar activity might do for you.
As well as presentations on the latest management and market topics, the programme will cover agronomy tips on how to maximise crop performance.
With all of this, can you afford to miss it?
